Fed

The federal reserve is a very bad thing for american people. This "central bank" as some call it, use the monetary policy, which is the creation and destruction of money as it goes in and out. The federal reserve is responsible for inflation and deflation to keep the economy stable. People are fooled into thinking this is beneficial to american citizens, this is not the case. Thomas Jefferson warned us about this and said it would leave our generations to come in debt. As of today, the goverment is nearly 18 trillion dollars in debt. The government receives loans from the federal reserve causing the  constant change in percentage on taxes. This is why the middle class is highly affected because they cant make more money due to the taxation. By the government letting this happen, the federal reserve has complete control of the financial issues America has to deal with.  The federal reserve will eventually have complete control due to our struggles in paying debt, which will deprive american citizens of their freedom.

The Recession

The term recession is a period of temporary economic decline. It tends to deal with reduction in trade and industrial activity. These are identified as a fall in GDP in 2 quarters. They are very unpredictable  and they are never consistant. They are not uncommon to the economy world, they are very familiar because the economy is always changing. One person referred to them as "chesirecat, might disappear, reappear, and change shape"(5). This period of time is when all economic is not too its standard. People tend to believe this leads to a depression, which it rarly ever does because the author said "they occur when the economys normal or recuperative mechanism fails to engage"(5).  Depressions are a period of time of economic failure, many things go wrong but recessions are usually cause by bad investments.
The mark shifts between 2 types cycles called the bull market or the bear market. A bull market is when market activity and investments are increasing. Even during the situations like when people expect prices to be raised it is still a bull market. A bear market is simpy the opposite, during these times activity is down and stocks within the market are down. This tends to happen for a shorter period of time. One good example of a bear market is the great depression. People were loosing money because all stocks and investments had no value.

Underground Economy

This hidden economy is an economy of people who can not find full time jobs. All these people usually get paid in cash and these actions are done without the goverment knowing. This economy is benefial because it proves extra spending money to the people to help support there families. It helps support real conomy by providing the working class extra spending money to put in the economy. This underground economy also has several negative effects. One is that the goverment recieves less money so they are forced to increase taxes to make up for the loss. Also, this has been found to lead to more drug and violent crimes. Lastly, these workers do not have socail security and health benefits, so they are not treatedas fairly.

Net Neutrality

Net neutrality is the princicpal that everybody is treats data on the internet equally without any form of discrimination. Big business want to try and end this and run the internet themselves and not let people have the freedom they do on it today.  Big business want to own the internet because they will have the faster internet  because there paying extra. Consumers, would be forced to have slow internet and small business would go bankrupt. The FCC is in charge of net neutrality of the internet. They are responsible  for all communications over the internet, radio, and television

Spoils vs. Merit

The United States goverment uses a typical method for employing people with goverment jobs. This method, or system is called the spoils system. Prior to 1881 it was very common for presidents to replace governent workers with ones who assisted the president during his campaign. Although before 1881 the president could put people in high ranking jobs wether they be qualified or not. That is why it is called the Spoils system because "to the victor goes the spoils".  Typically the president picks friends, family, or loved ones into high ranked positions because they were a victor. During Goerge Washingtons presidency he chose many federalist to these postions. Then in 1881 James A Garfield started the Pendleton Civil Servive Reform act. This basically eliminated the spoils system and replaced it with the Merit System. This system made it harder for these positions to be taken.

Cell Phone Privacy

I believe police officers need a warrant to search someones phone in an investigation. I say this because a persons phone is something that is paid either by them, or someone else. If police officers just went through peoples phones with an unprovable cause, they might find things that the owner of the phone might not want others to see. If people are worried about the phone information being deleted or evidence that is "remote wiping" as the article states. They should have the right to confiscate the phone and wait for a warrant. I say this because in the Riley vs. California case they could have found out he was involved in a shooting if they took the proper precautions, rather than go against the 14th amendment and his conviction gets overturned. My last example of why they need a warrant has to due with the United States vs. Jones case. The US violated the rights of the people and places a GPS tracking device on his car without a warrant. This is not the correct way to go about finding someone and bringing them to justice, you can accomplish the same goal by taking the correct, and most legal way.
